Jeremy Asking Women To Punch Him

Jeremy was an immensely clever person. His talent shown through his many artistic endeavors. Particularly when he would take a very simple concept that spoke volumes above its execution.
Here is a sampling of a larger collection of Polaroid photographs depicting the reaction of women Jeremy knew being asked to punch him, followed by a photograph capturing the act itself. The initial reactions from the subjects in the first photograph vary from laughing to apparently being genuinely shocked by the request. The second photograph captures a more unified reaction; one of joy and one of determination. The photographs appear to show the subjects invested in fulfilling the request to the best of their ability.

I’m curious about so many aspects of this project. Why did Jeremy ask women to punch him? How did he select who he would ask? how did he decide to photograph the reaction and the punch? Why just women?
